C.
AGENDA
Presided
by the Interim Chairman Gershom Elican, the following were issues discussed during
the meeting:
1. REVIEW OF THE
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
The Interim Chairman briefly presented
the highlights in the minutes of the previous meeting. The following were
issues arising from the minutes:
a. Reunion
Photos. As decided
during the previous meeting of January 26, the group will be printing hard
copies of selected photos of the reunion and put them in an album for everyone
to see some memorable moments of our annual reunion. However, the plan was
never yet materialized. So, the group has once more expressed the desire to
print these photos the soonest possible.
b. Tambayan
Ng RTNHS BATCH 1992. To
ensure that people in our official Facebook group really belong to RTNHS Batch
1992, the Interim President had been working hard to check/verify every friend
request with the official list of our batchmates available online. Since the
work was really time-consuming, there were still friend requests left to be
verified. As agreed, we will give two months (until March 2014) to work on this
project, after which non-members will be deleted and block/ban them permanently
to prevent them from further making new friend requests.
c. Souvenir
Mugs. The selling of
mugs for fundraising will be continued. As of February 23, we have earned a
profit of P200.00 The said mug will be sold at P220.00. For those interested to
order, you may contact Gershom Elican. Orders are subject to the availability
of the mugs.
d.
SEC REGISTRATION. Our SEC Registration was completed
last February 14, 2014 thru the help of Atty. Arleen Medina, CPA. All pertinent
SEC documents are now in the custody of the secretary. These documents include:
Certificate of Registration, Membership
Book. Copies of Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws. They will be
published online in the coming days for everyone to see and be guided
accordingly. As stipulated in the certificate of Incorporation, our SEC
Registration Certificate grants juridical personality to the corporation but
does not authorize it to undertake business activities requiring a Secondary
License from the SEC and does not constitute as permit to undertake activities
for which other government agencies require a license or permit. In effect
thereof, our association can now open and maintain a Bank Account under the
association’s official name, RTNHS Class 1992 Association, Inc.
2. RTNHS ALUMNI
HOMECOMING 2014. The
event is scheduled on April 20, 2014 at Bago City Coliseum. Our batch has been
invited again to take part in this annual homecoming. Last year (2013), twenty
(20) members of Batch 1992 took part in the celebration. For this year, we hope
to surpass the number of our attendees. So, the group decided to sponsor the
food and drinks for those who would like to attend. However, the P50.00
registration should be personally shouldered by each participant.
The group agreed to allocate a budget
of Php3, 500.00 which will cover the lunch, drinks, snacks and other expenses.
However, we still welcome donation/sponsorship from our generous and
kind-hearted batchmates for additional foods to be shared by our batchmates
attending the said event.
Those interested to attend the Alumni
Homecoming 2014 must confirm their attendance not later than March 30 during
our third monthly meeting. You may text our Interim Chairman Gershom Elican if
you wish to notify your attendance.
3. MONTHLY MEETING. The Interim Chairman reminded those
who promised him support last December during our annual reunion. He reiterated
his invitation to everyone for their attendance in our regular monthly meetings
and the importance of these meetings in terms of our participation in the
discussion of the issues and projects of the group, especially as we prepare
ourselves to host the RTNHS Alumni Homecoming in 2017.
4. PROJECT FOR
FUNDRAISING. The
group decided to push through the proposed BINGO ACTIVITY to be held on May 25,
2014 (Sunday), 1:30 P.M. at Bago City Community Center.

printing and other expenses.

sets of Bingo cards worth Php1,000.00 will be allocated per member to sell.

5. DONATION TO RTNHS
(2011). The group will
request Mrs. Marjorie G. Madrigal to follow-up the status of our donation of
Php10,000.00 to RTNHS-Main for the
purchase of school’s service vehicle as requested by the principal. The said
amount donation was deposited through Land Bank by Mr. Gershom Elican in 2011.
This is in response to the desire of the batch to ensure that any amount of
money donated should be really spent for its intended purpose.
Meeting
adjourned at around 4:12 P.M.
After the
meeting, those present shared the maja
blanca, biscuits and cold softdrinks courtesy of Kareen, Yvette and
Gershom.
